My name is Heather. I am the girl behind “This Mom’s No Expert”. I am many things to many people… I am a daughter, a sister, an aunt, a friend… I’d like to think I am good at each of these roles…maybe even great. They are all important to me in their own special way. But my absolute favorite roles are wife to my amazing husband, Stephen, and mommy to my three little girls. This girl’s no expert, but who is? We all do the best we know how. No one gets married one day and wakes up the next, an expert in marriage. No one has children and knows exactly what to do in every situation handed to them. I would never say I’m the perfect wife. My husband would probably agree. I would never say I am the world’s best mom. Even if my kids seem to think so. One thing I do know is my husband and kids KNOW how much I love them and at the end of the day, that’s what matters to me.
My life has been filled with incredible circumstances... When I say “incredible”, I mean that some were incredibly horrifying… some were incredibly heartbreaking… some have been incredibly remarkable… and others have been incredibly amazing. But each circumstance, good or bad, made me exactly the person I am today. And I wouldn’t change any of it.
I am starting this blog to share my experiences. I love to make people laugh. I love to write. So I’m hoping this blog will be a mutually enlightening experience, both for me writing it, and you reading it. More times than not, this blog will probably make you laugh. At times, it could possibly even make you cry. If I can help one person get through a situation that I have been through (and believe me there have been many), doesn’t that make this all worth it? I hope you enjoy reading “This Mom’s No Expert”. And if you feel what I write could help someone, please feel free to share.
